Overview: SouthCreek is one of the three 18-hole routings at Myrtle Beach National Golf Club. Arnold Palmer designed the par-72 course as a more accuracy-focused companion to the property's longer layouts, with finger-shaped lakes, waste areas and bentgrass greens shaping the approach shots. From the back tees it plays a little over 6,400 yards, so the main challenge comes from choosing safe lines and controlling the ball into protected green complexes.
History: Myrtle Beach National began its three-course development in 1973 and completed the sequence with SouthCreek in 1975. The Arnold Palmer design helped establish the property as one of the Grand Strand's key golf destinations, and the club's central position made it an anchor for multi-round trips. SouthCreek has retained its own identity rather than becoming a softer copy of King's North or West.
Did You Know? The island-green 12th is flanked by bunkers shaped like the letters SC, a visual signature that identifies the course even before the scorecard is opened. It is a small architectural detail, but it turns a local abbreviation into part of the routing itself.
