Overview: The Blue/Red routing at Myakka Pines Golf Club is one of three 18-hole combinations at the 27-hole Englewood facility. Lane Marshall's parkland layout uses broad Florida ground, tree lines and water features, with the current longest-tee record for Blue/Red listed at 6,502 yards and par 72. The combination changes the balance of the round while retaining Myakka Pines' open, natural character.
History: Myakka Pines opened in 1978 as a 27-hole facility built around the Blue, Red and White nines. The three loops are routinely combined into Blue/Red, Red/White and White/Blue routings, so the course name is not a single fixed 18-hole layout. Current course records credit Lane Marshall and confirm the Englewood identity at 2550 South River Road.
Did You Know? Myakka Pines' three nines give the club a rotating 18-hole format, allowing each loop to receive comparable play over time. That is why the Blue/Red identity needs to remain separate from the Red/White and White/Blue records even though all three belong to the same club.
