Muong Thanh Golf Club Dien Lam

Overview: Muong Thanh Golf Club Dien Lam is a mountain-style course in Nghe An, set inside the Muong Thanh ecological complex near Dien Chau. IMG Golf Design is credited with shaping the 18-hole routing, which current course records list at par 72 and 7,103 yards from the black tees. The course follows rolling hills and works around rivers, lakes and woodland rather than presenting a flat coastal corridor. Fairways bend across the natural slopes, and changes in elevation can alter both the apparent distance and the angle into the greens. Its character is therefore tied to the land and water system around the ecological park.

History: The course began operating in 2019 and became the golf centrepiece of the Muong Thanh Dien Lam destination. Official Muong Thanh material describes the property as having developed over its first five years into a familiar venue for golf events and resort stays. The Vietnam Golf Association also identified Dien Lam as a venue for the 2026 Hanwha Life VGA Junior Tour, providing recent evidence that the course remains active in organised golf. That continuing tournament role connects the original IMG design with its current place in regional golf.

Did You Know? Dien Lam is part of an ecological park known for combining golf with a much broader natural setting, including lakes, rivers and wildlife areas. The course does not sit in isolation from that environment. Its fairways and green approaches repeatedly use the surrounding water and hills to make the golf feel like one element in a larger landscape rather than a separate built object.
