Overview: Nestled in the rolling sand hills of Lake Wales, Mountain Lake is a historic golden-age parkland layout. The routing uses classic template holes, such as Redan, Biarritz, Punchbowl, and Alps, beautifully adapted to the undulating sand-dune topography of the Lake Wales Ridge. The wide fairways and deep green complexes protect a strategic test of golf.
History: Opened in 1916, the club was designed as a winter golf retreat for northern families. In 2002 and 2017, the course underwent restorations by Brian Silva and Tyler Rae to return it to Seth Raynor's original design specifications.
Did You Know? The property features the highest point on the Florida peninsula, making it one of the very few courses in the state with natural, rolling elevation changes.
