Overview: The Shore Course at Monterey Peninsula Country Club occupies a coastal strip in Pebble Beach where the Pacific, cypress, dunes, and 17-Mile Drive shape the visual identity. The modern routing reflects Mike Strantz’s redesign, which opened more of the shoreline and created stronger relationships between the fairways, ocean, and green complexes.
History: Bob Baldock and Jack Neville laid out the original Shore Course in 1961. Mike Strantz later redesigned it, reversing much of the routing and adding new holes before the modern course reopened in 2004.
Did You Know? The Shore Course was Mike Strantz’s final major project, and its 2004 reopening followed a redesign that reversed the direction of much of the fifth through fifteenth-hole stretch.
