Overview: Monterey Country Club's South/West routing combines two of the private Palm Desert club's three Ted Robinson nines. The official club card lists South at par 36 and 3,041 yards and West at par 36 and 3,144 yards, producing a par-72 route of about 6,185 yards. The desert setting is shaped by palms, irrigated fairways and the surrounding Santa Rosa Mountains.
History: Ted Robinson is the documented architect for Monterey Country Club's 27-hole facility. The current official material does not give a dependable opening year for the South/West combination, so that field remains null. The separate-nine structure is retained because it explains why course names and scorecard totals vary across directory entries.
Did You Know? The South and West nines do not have identical roles: the official card gives West the longer total and South a slightly shorter one. Together they make a conventional par-72 round, but each nine retains a distinct scorecard identity within the same desert club.
