Overview: Set in the heart of the Tuscan hills near Monsummano Terme, Montecatini Golf Club features an undulating parkland routing. The course follows the natural slopes of the landscape, bordered by hundreds of ancient olive trees. Winding valleys, dry stone walls, and small, sloped greens demand tactical course management, with blind tee shots and side-hill lies testing a golfer's shot-making adaptability.
History: Designed by architect Marco Croze, the course opened in 1985 on an expansive agricultural estate originally featuring historic farm buildings. Croze integrated the holes into the existing olive groves and natural drainage patterns, creating a layout that reflects the traditional Tuscan countryside. The club's historic stone farmhouse was converted into the clubhouse and guest rooms.
Did You Know? The course is bordered by historical thermal spa towns, and the fairways are lined with over two thousand olive trees, which are harvested annually by the club to produce its own signature olive oil.
