Overview: Mont Choisy Le Golf is an 18-hole parkland course in northern Mauritius, designed by Peter Matkovich on the grounds of a former sugar-cane plantation. The layout combines open cane-field character with water hazards, volcanic rock formations and shaped greens. The published white-tee distance is 5,982 metres, stored here as a rounded 6,541 yards, and the course plays to par 72.
History: The Mont Choisy development group says the 18-hole course was developed in 2017 as part of the wider Mont Choisy estate, and independent course data records it as opening for play in 2017. The operator's company timeline describes the wider golf-and-clubhouse development as a 2017-18 project. Mont Choisy later became a tournament venue, hosting the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open in 2022 and 2024.
Did You Know? The course sits on historic sugar-estate land, but the playing character is not purely agricultural: the official description specifically highlights volcanic rock formations alongside the water hazards. Its 2022 Mauritius Open was won by Antoine Rozner, who finished five shots clear.
