Modern Golf & Country Club

Overview: At Kota Modern in Tangerang, Modern Golf & Country Club presents a Peter Thomson design built around 18 holes of par-72 golf. The current operator gives a total length of 6,350 metres, approximately 6,944 yards, and describes a course intended for players with different levels of experience. Lakes, bunkers, doglegs and changing fairway shapes supply the strategy, while the wider country club adds tennis, squash, pool, spa, restaurants and bungalows. Its position roughly 45 minutes from central Jakarta makes it a practical Greater Jakarta round.

History: Modern Golf forms part of the Kota Modern development and has continued as an integrated golf and leisure club rather than a standalone daily-fee course. Current operator and developer pages still identify the 18-hole course with Peter Thomson and preserve its original country-club role. The reviewed current sources do not establish a dependable opening year, so that field remains null instead of borrowing a date from an unrelated property record.

Did You Know? Modern Golf's routing varies from straight fairways to doglegs, with lakes and bunkers changing the value of the safe line from hole to hole. Its par-72 card rewards players who can adjust their plan rather than repeat the same tee-shot strategy. The surrounding flat terrain makes those designed changes in direction and hazard placement especially clear during a full round.
