Overview: Located in the Emilia-Romagna region of northern Italy, the Langer Course at Modena Golf & Country Club is an 18-hole championship layout designed by Bernhard Langer. Set on an open, relatively flat agricultural plain, the course features wide fairways, massive, interconnected lakes, and large, fast green complexes. The layout is a modern, target-style test, requiring players to hit precise tee shots over deep water hazards and navigate Langer's massive, sculpted bunkering.
History: Opened in 1990, the course was built to establish a premier luxury competitive destination in northern Italy. Langer moved massive amounts of earth to create dramatic mounding and expansive lakes on the otherwise flat terrain. The venue has hosted the Italian Open on the European Tour, challenging the world's best players with its length and penal hazards.
Did You Know? The club is located in the heart of Italy's "Motor Valley," situated just a few miles away from the historic headquarters and manufacturing plants of Ferrari, Maserati, and Lamborghini.
