Overview: Moccasin Wallow Golf Club is an 18-hole Ted McAnlis parkland course in Palmetto, near the junction of I-75 and I-275. The detailed course record lists par 72 and 7,089 yards from the black tees. Around 200 wooded acres and a network of lakes give the layout a distinctly inland Florida character, with water and mature trees shaping many of the sightlines.
History: The course opened in 1987 and was designed by Ted McAnlis. The facility later operated as Imperial Lakewoods before being rebranded as Moccasin Wallow Golf Club. The club reports a 2016 renovation that brought TifEagle greens and Celebration Bermuda fairways, followed by tee and range improvements in 2017.
Did You Know? The club describes the ninth as a 580-yard par-five dogleg around Imperial Lake and says the property contains 16 lakes. That combination makes the turn a particularly visible expression of the course's wooded, water-oriented design.
