Overview: Miyoshi Country Club's East Course is the shorter of the club's two 18-hole routings, but its 6,610-yard par-72 card is not a light version of the property. The official guide describes a woodland course with one bentgrass green per hole, and the layout uses the surrounding trees, gentle changes of level and carefully angled approach areas to make position count. Its scale is comfortable for a varied round, while the fairways still leave enough room for a player to choose between an assertive line and a safer one. The East is best understood as a course of changing angles rather than a simple test of distance.
History: The East Course opened on 21 May 1961 and is credited to J.E. Crane, with Ikeda Construction listed for the course works. Miyoshi was developed as a large two-course property, and the East has retained its separate identity alongside the longer West Course. Current official data continues to present both routings together, but each has its own yardage, rating and recommended holes, making the East a distinct course rather than merely the front half of a 36-hole loop.
Did You Know? Miyoshi's official guide names East holes 8 and 16 as the recommended driving holes and East holes 4 and 17 as the nearest-the-pin choices. That pattern gives a quick architectural hint: the course offers a couple of holes where length can be rewarded, then asks for precise control on its one-shot holes. The scorecard's 6,610-yard total leaves enough room for both kinds of challenge.
