Overview: Miles Grant Country Club is an 18-hole private course in Stuart that plays to par 64. The longest course record used here lists 4,582 yards, with two par fives, five par fours, ten par threes and one hole that may be played as a par four or par five. A lake wrapping around the 17th and 18th adds a clear strategic finish.
History: The club's official course overview dates Miles Grant to 1972 and credits Charles M. Mahannah and Mahannah and Howard Associates with the construction. Sanford Golf Design prepared a master improvement plan in 2002, followed by TifEagle green conversions in 2003 and 2005. The current course remains a member-owned Stuart club near the Intracoastal Waterway.
Did You Know? Miles Grant's two lakes are actually one water body that wraps around the 18th hole and also borders the 17th. The unusual par balance, with ten par threes and only two standard par fives, gives the short course a distinct rhythm from hole to hole.
