Overview: Mid South Club is a private Arnold Palmer course in Southern Pines. The layout uses the broad, rolling Sandhills landscape with generous fairways, large greens and prominent bunkers and water features. It is a member-focused course, so its public visitor profile should not imply ordinary daily-fee access.
History: The course was originally developed as Pinehurst Plantation in 1993 and later became Mid South after an ownership and naming dispute. Contemporary course accounts credit Arnold Palmer with the design and describe the routing's broad playing corridors and larger-scale hazards.
Did You Know? Mid South's older Pinehurst Plantation name still appears in historical references. That alias is useful when matching older reviews and property records, but it should not be treated as a separate course from the current Mid South Club routing.
