Overview: Merit Club is a private Libertyville course built across rolling parkland with substantial water hazards, mature trees and a long, strategic par-72 routing. The championship tees measure approximately 7,119 yards. The course asks for disciplined positioning because the hazards and green approaches become progressively more influential as the round moves toward its closing holes.
History: Bert Getz and his family founded the club in 1992, with Robert Lohmann and other design contributors shaping the course. Merit Club became known for combining a secluded setting with a serious tournament layout, and it has hosted high-level professional and amateur competition during its history.
Did You Know? Merit Club also includes three practice holes, a par four, a par three and another par four. They are part of the property's original golf concept and give the facility a small extra layer beyond the main 18-hole routing.
