Overview: Meadowbrook is a private Ballwin course whose present 18-hole, par-71 layout grew from an earlier nine-hole course. The routing uses wooded corridors, rolling ground and a traditional parkland framework, with a current back-tee yardage around 6,509 yards. Its interest comes from changing hole shapes and the way later work has tied two different nines into one course.
History: Meadowbrook opened in September 1955 as a nine-hole course designed by Press Maxwell. The second nine was first associated with Charles Bland in 1969 and completed by Don Sechrest; later renovation work, including a master-plan phase led by Keith Foster, unified the course and upgraded drainage, tees and bunkers.
Did You Know? The club’s history reaches back to 1943, when the Meadow Brook Club operated as a public facility in Overland. The current Ballwin course therefore represents a move and several architectural chapters, rather than a single design built all at once.
