Overview: Meadow Lake Golf Resort in Columbia Falls sits between Whitefish and the northern Flathead Valley. The 18-hole resort course uses tree-lined corridors, ponds, streams and mountain scenery to create a scenic par-72 round with more strategic variety than its relaxed setting first suggests.
History: The original Meadow Lake course opened for play in June 1976 as a nine-hole course designed by John Steidel. Dick Phelps later renovated the property and expanded it to 18 holes, which is why Phelps is the architect associated with the present course.
Did You Know? Garnier Creek winds between and across fairways, while the surrounding Flathead Valley places the course within easy reach of Glacier National Park.
