Mauritzberg Golf and Sea Resort

Overview: Mauritzberg is an easy-to-walk parkland course at a sea resort, with ponds, streams and a varied sequence of holes around the estate. Water comes into play on roughly half of the layout, making placement important even when the fairways appear generous.

History: Construction began in 2006, and the 18-hole layout opened for play in summer 2010. Robert, also reported as Bob, Kains is credited as the Canadian architect behind the course.

Did You Know? The resort's course was built as part of a broader estate development, so golf, the historic property and the coastal setting are designed as one destination rather than separate attractions.
