Overview: The Gold Course is the longer of Mariner Sands Country Club's two private 18-hole layouts in Stuart. Tom Fazio designed the par-72 course, which plays to 6,811 yards from the back tees and uses water, trees and rolling ground to create a different character from the Blue Course. The club's official tour describes a range of tee positions for players of different abilities.
History: The Gold Course is listed as built in 1980 in an independent golf-architecture record. Mariner Sands' official history separately records the community's late-1970s development and notes renovation work finished on November 30, 2020. The profile keeps those dates distinct: 1980 for the course record and 2020 for the documented renovation.
Did You Know? Mariner Sands' Gold Course is the longer of its two layouts, with the official club page listing four men's tee distances from 6,811 down to 5,886 yards. Its two ladies' tees extend the range to 5,360 and 4,842 yards.
