Overview: Manasquan River Golf Club is a private course in Brielle, New Jersey, with two distinct landscape faces. The front nine moves through former pasture and meadowland beside the river, while the back nine climbs into elevated woodland and laurel-covered ravines.
History: The club purchased roughly 145 acres in 1922 and commissioned Robert White to build the first nine, which opened in 1923. The second nine opened in 1926, creating the current eighteen-hole course and the two-part character that remains central to its history.
Did You Know? The seventh is a nearly 660-yard par five that crosses a vegetation-filled ravine, while the sixteenth approaches a green over a cutout of the Manasquan River. Those holes show the contrasting scale of the two nines.
