Overview: Virginia/Amelia is the third 18-hole combination represented by the Mallory Hill directory identities. The official black-tee totals give Virginia at 3,551 yards and Amelia at 3,405 yards, producing a 6,956-yard par-72 route. Virginia's water and valley holes lead into Amelia's more compact, rolling nine, so the combination changes character at the turn.
History: The Mallory Hill championship complex was built as a 27-hole facility in 2006 and is credited to Clifton, Ezell & Clifton. The current operator presents Amelia, Caroline and Virginia as individual nines with separate scorecards, ratings and hole histories. Virginia/Amelia is therefore kept as its own directory identity rather than merged with the other two Mallory Hill combinations.
Did You Know? The Virginia nine occupies land once known for watermelon patches and fishing holes, a reminder of the site's earlier landscape. Its open valley and frequent water hazards make a striking contrast with the Amelia nine's tree-lined holes.
