Overview: The Amelia/Caroline routing is an 18-hole combination from Mallory Hill's 27-hole championship facility in The Villages. The official black-tee totals combine the 3,405-yard Amelia nine with the 3,579-yard Caroline nine for 6,984 yards and par 72. Rolling ground, water, mature trees and a changing residential landscape give the two nines different visual identities within one round.
History: Course records date the Mallory Hill facility to 2006 and credit Clifton, Ezell & Clifton with the design. The current operator describes three separate nines, Amelia, Caroline and Virginia, that can be combined into different 18-hole routes. Mallory Hill's clubhouse overlooks part of the 27-hole property and the course remains part of The Villages' championship network.
Did You Know? The seventh hole on the Caroline nine is known locally as The Villages' version of Amen Corner. Its tee sits beside one of the county's oldest cemeteries, adding an unusual historical landmark to the middle of the Amelia/Caroline round.
