Overview: Malahide Golf Club ~ Red/Yellow is the 18-hole pairing of the Red and Yellow loops at Malahide’s 27-hole parkland course. The facility covers about 180 acres of mature woodland and is positioned close to Dublin Airport, Malahide and Portmarnock. The club describes USGA-standard greens and a full practice base, while the course history records several phases of architectural work. Pair-specific par and yardage are not carried over from Blue/Red or Blue/Yellow because the current official material does not publish one stable Red/Yellow card.
History: Malahide moved to its present Beechwood site in 1990 after a much older history in the area. Eddie Hackett is associated with the original course, Michael Craddock with later redevelopment, and Jeff Howes with major changes to the Blue and Red loops. Jeff Lynch is credited with later project architecture. The current Red/Yellow identity is therefore part of a layered 27-hole facility shaped by several designers and successive improvements.
Did You Know? The Yellow loop has its own architectural story, including the replacement of its first hole with a new par three by Jeff Howes. That matters to a Red/Yellow profile because the Yellow nine is not merely the third option in a colour scheme: it has been actively shaped and updated as a distinct part of the Malahide complex.
