Overview: Malahide Golf Club ~ Blue/Yellow joins the Blue and Yellow nines for an 18-hole round at Malahide’s mature 27-hole parkland facility. The complex covers about 180 acres and sits near Dublin’s north-coast visitor corridor, with Malahide and Portmarnock nearby and the airport a short drive away. Water, woodland and USGA-standard playing surfaces shape the course identity. Pair-specific par and yardage are not assigned because the current club pages establish the three loops but do not provide one definitive Blue/Yellow tee card.
History: The present Malahide course was developed at Beechwood after the club moved in 1990. Historical accounts credit Eddie Hackett with the original design, Michael Craddock with later redevelopment and Jeff Howes with substantial Blue and Red work. Jeff Lynch is associated with later project architecture. The changing designer list reflects a facility that has been improved over decades while retaining three distinct loops and the flexibility of a 27-hole club.
Did You Know? The Yellow nine has been a focus of recent architectural attention, including a new par-three first hole created by Jeff Howes. That detail shows why the Yellow loop should not be treated as an anonymous spare nine: it has its own design history and can change the character of an 18-hole pairing such as Blue/Yellow.
