Overview: Perched on a hill overlooking the scenic Lee Valley, Macroom Golf Club is a mature and established parkland course. Originally founded in 1925, the course is celebrated for its technical, undulating terrain and its spectacular panoramic views across the Sullane River. Characterized by its narrow landing zones and its lush, well-protected greens, Macroom offers a traditional and challenging round that has earned it a reputation as one of the best-kept secrets in County Cork.
Did You Know? The course was originally a proprietary club founded by the late Patrick Murphy and has retained its quiet, welcoming rural charm while evolving into a significant regional competition venue. Its parkland fairways are particularly famous for their scenic beauty in the spring, when the mature timber and the views of the distant Kerry mountains create one of the most picturesque rounds in Munster.
