Overview: Located near Spydeberg, southeast of Oslo, Norway, the Hovedbanen (Main Course) at Mørk Golfklubb is a challenging 18-hole woodland course designed by Jeremy Turner. Winding through deep, dense pine forests and rocky ravines, the layout features tight, tree-lined fairways, severe elevation changes, and small, heavily defended green complexes. The course is a severe physical test, requiring pinpoint accuracy off the tee to navigate the highly restricted playing corridors.
History: Founded in 1989 on historic farmland, the club opened its initial 9-hole layout in 1990, with the full 18-hole championship course completed in 1992 under Turner's direction. The layout was carefully integrated into the rugged Norwegian forest, minimizing earth movement to preserve the natural, secluded wilderness character of the property.
Did You Know? The course is built on land that has been owned and farmed by the Mørk family for generations. The club maintains a peaceful, rustic wilderness setting, completely isolated from road noise and modern development.
