Overview: Lyckorna is an 18-hole coastal parkland course beside Ljungskileviken, where mature trees, open landscape and views toward the water give the round a distinct west-coast identity. Anders Amilon’s design moves between sheltered park holes and more exposed stretches, so the course changes atmosphere as well as direction. The par-72 layout provides a balanced scorecard, but the real interest lies in choosing the correct line through the trees and managing approaches when the coastal breeze is present. It is a course shaped as much by its setting as by its individual holes.
History: Lyckorna Golfklubb was formed in 1967 and the 18-hole course was inaugurated the following year, in 1968. Anders Amilon designed the layout, which has since been maintained and improved while retaining its mixture of woodland, open ground and sea views. The club later added a nine-hole short course and expanded its wider year-round golf facilities.
Did You Know? Lyckorna was Sweden’s golf club number 100. That milestone gives the club a neat place in the national history of the sport, while the course itself remains closely tied to the old resort landscape around Ljungskile.
