Overview: South/North is the original 18-hole pairing at Lost City Golf Club, combining the two nines created first in Atlantis. The current combination record lists par 72 and 6,892 yards. South contributes an Old Florida character, receptive par fives and strategic risk-and-reward par fours, while North asks for precision and accuracy rather than relying only on distance.
History: The South and North nines were the first 18 holes created during the early development of Atlantis in the early 1960s. The East nine was added soon afterward, creating the current 27-hole facility. William F. Mitchell's original design was renovated by Tom Fazio II in 2021, and the club's modern South/North scorecard still represents the earliest core of the property.
Did You Know? The North nine's fourth hole places a large pond between the tee and green, while the South nine's fifth uses a canal that becomes a pond near the putting surface. The paired nines therefore use water differently, one as a carry and one as a running-side hazard.
