Overview: Loch Lomond is an exclusive parkland course situated on the shores of Loch Lomond in Luss, Scotland. Designed by Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish and opened in 1993, the course winds through mature woodlands, marshlands, and natural streams. The layout presents an American-style target golf experience within a traditional Scottish landscape, featuring immaculately manicured fairways and greens that face the water of the loch on several holes.
History: The club occupies the historic Rossdhu Estate, which served as the seat of the Chiefs of Clan Colquhoun. The estate's Georgian manor, Rossdhu House, was built in 1773 and has been restored to serve as the club's clubhouse. Loch Lomond has hosted several high-profile professional events, including the Solheim Cup in 2000 and the Scottish Open from 1996 through 2010.
Did You Know? Tom Weiskopf considered Loch Lomond to be his lasting memorial to the game of golf. To combat the wet West Highland climate, the club underwent a massive renovation between 2017 and 2020 that involved rebuilding all eighteen green complexes with modern drainage and sand capping.
