Overview: Llanerch Country Club is a private parkland course in Havertown, Pennsylvania. Its history reaches back to the early Philadelphia golf era, while the present routing reflects the work associated with Alexander Findlay and later course development on the same property.
History: Golf was established at the site in 1901, and the property had an 18-hole course by 1903. The course was redesigned and expanded to 27 holes in 1928, the year associated with Alex Findlay's work, while the club has operated under the Llanerch name since 1919.
Did You Know? Llanerch hosted the 1958 PGA Championship, the first PGA Championship played in the modern stroke-play format. Dow Finsterwald won that event at the Havertown club.
