Overview: Lexington Oaks Golf Club is an 18-hole public course in Wesley Chapel, built around a strong equestrian theme. The current USGA record lists par 72 and 6,646 yards from the black tees. Water and wetlands are integral to the layout, with raised greens, bunkers, wooded corridors and a more demanding back nine giving the course a distinct two-sided character.
History: The course opened in January 2000 and was designed by Gordon Lewis as the golf centerpiece of the Lexington Oaks residential community. Its Kentucky horse-country identity continues through the surrounding boulevards, stable-style details and street names drawn from racing culture. The original daily-fee course remains an 18-hole public facility.
Did You Know? The 18th green is reported to be 62 yards wide, an unusually broad target that the course record compares with a paddock large enough for six Kentucky Derby winners. It gives the closing par five a memorable visual scale.
