Legends Golf Resort (Heathland)

Overview: The Heathland Course at Legends Golf Resort is a resort Tom Doak design in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The 18-hole routing uses a links-influenced parkland setting, with broad fairways, sandy ground and strategic shaping creating a distinct inland contrast to the area’s coastal courses.

History: Heathland opened in 1990 after owner Larry Young sought a links-style course for the Myrtle Beach market. Tom Doak was recommended for the project by Scottish golf photographer Brian Morgan, making the course one of Doak’s early designs.

Did You Know? Heathland is one of three different 18-hole courses at Legends Golf Resort, alongside the Moorland and Parkland layouts.
