Overview: At 8600 Legends Boulevard in Fort Myers, the Joe Lee-designed Legends course presents an 18-hole test. The established course record lists par 72 and 6,652 yards from the back tees, with broad fairways, generous greens and lakes, ponds and creeks shaping fourteen holes. The 650-acre gated community gives the course a spacious Southwest Florida setting.
History: Legends opened in early 1999 and was renovated by Kipp Schulties in 2010. A major modernization led by Ron Garl and Rickie Nix then rebuilt the irrigation system, putting surfaces, bunkers and surrounding landscape during 2025-26. The original Joe Lee design remains the historical anchor while the newer work updates its infrastructure and playing surfaces.
Did You Know? Water appears in several forms at Legends: the club's history identifies lakes, ponds and creeks on fourteen holes. The mix of water features is a defining part of the Joe Lee layout's Southwest Florida setting.
