Overview: Set among Clermont's rolling hills, the Legends course offers an 18-hole, par-72 test with elevation changes that create a very different Florida golf setting. The current official course page lists 6,853 yards from the gold tees, while the club describes views toward Lake Louisa, water features and elevation drops of up to 300 feet. The course's terrain, rather than flatness, is its defining character.
History: Current course records use 2001 as the build year and credit Clifton, Ezell & Clifton, while older local descriptions place the original development in the late 1990s. A two-million-dollar refurbishment led to a July 2021 reopening after the community association took ownership. The current club continues to publish public tee times and a dedicated course history.
Did You Know? The first tee looks across Lake Louisa for roughly eight miles and includes a dramatic elevation drop of about 300 feet. That combination helps explain why Legends is often described as an inland Florida course with a mountain-course feel.
