Overview: Legend Golf & Safari Resort’s Signature Course The Signature Course has 18 holes and a par of 72 bushveld layout in Limpopo, with the Waterberg landscape providing the setting for a course built around international golf personalities. The daily course measures about 6,534 metres, while tournament tees extend much farther. Open grassland, native bush, elevation changes and wide views give the routing a resort-scale sense of space, with the surrounding wildlife reserve always close to the golfing experience.
History: The development acquired the property in 2004, began design and construction in 2006, and completed the Signature Course in 2008. Rather than assigning the whole course to one architect, the project invited 18 professional golfers to contribute signature holes through an IMG-led design process. The result was intended to connect modern golf tourism with the Waterberg’s landscape and conservation setting.
Did You Know? Legend’s famous Extreme 19th is a separate mountain-top par-three experience reached by helicopter. The green sits dramatically above the surrounding terrain, making it one of the most visually recognisable extra holes in the world of golf even though it is not part of the regular 18-hole scorecard.
