Overview: Located near Roskilde in Zealand, Denmark, Ledreborg Palace Golf is an 18-hole parkland course designed by Sir Nick Faldo. The layout is set within the vast, undulating grounds of a historic royal estate, featuring wide fairways, deep strategically placed bunkers, and large, multi-tiered greens. Faldo incorporated significant elevation changes and water hazards into the design, creating a modern, target-style championship test that demands careful course management and precise approach play.
History: Opened in 2007, the course was commissioned by the Holstein-Ledreborg family to create a world-class sporting facility on their ancestral estate. Faldo utilized the dramatic landscape of the Skjoldungernes Land National Park to craft his first Scandinavian design. The venue has hosted several major professional and amateur tournaments since its inauguration.
Did You Know? The course is set on the grounds of Ledreborg Palace, one of Denmark's most impressive 18th-century Baroque mansions.
