Overview: Lebovic Golf Club is an 18-hole Doug Carrick design on the Oak Ridges Moraine in Aurora. The course plays to par 70 across 150 acres of rolling ground, with broad views, natural landform and a compact routing that asks the player to use the terrain rather than simply overpower it. Carrick's design combines open hillside holes with more framed corridors, giving the round a modern championship feel while retaining a strong connection to the protected landscape around it.
History: The course was officially opened in 2016 after a planning and construction process that stretched back to the mid-1990s. Environmental constraints shaped the project: the design had to preserve forest, wetlands, a stream corridor and the character of the Oak Ridges Moraine while fitting a complete 18-hole course into a compact site. The result is one of the Toronto area's notable newer courses and a rare modern design with a clearly documented environmental brief.
Did You Know? Lebovic includes five par threes and three par fives, an unusual scorecard balance noted by the design team. That mix changes the rhythm of the round and helps the course feel varied even when the routing is compact, with precision and decision-making carrying as much weight as length.
