Overview: Located near Milan, Italy, Le Robinie Golf Club is a spectacular 18-hole championship course designed by Jack Nicklaus. The layout is carved through an open, flat agricultural plain, featuring massive, artificial elevation changes, wide fairways bordered by extensive water hazards, and large, multi-tiered green complexes. The course is a modern, target-style test, requiring players to hit precise tee shots over deep lakes and navigate the massive, sculpted Nicklaus bunkering.
History: Opened in 1993, the course was built to establish a premier luxury competitive resort destination in northern Italy. Nicklaus moved massive amounts of earth to create the dramatic mounding and expansive lakes, crafting the only Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course in Italy. The venue has hosted multiple Italian PGA events.
Did You Know? The course features a highly sophisticated network of interconnected lakes and streams that serve a dual purpose. They act as a major strategic hazard for golfers and a critical reservoir for the resort's massive ecological water management system.
