Overview: Sun Mountain presents 18 holes under a par-72 resort scorecard, with Pete Dye using rolling desert terrain and mountain views at Las Vegas Paiute.
History: Sun Mountain followed Snow Mountain and opened in 1996 as the second of the Paiute resort’s three Pete Dye courses. Its setting at roughly 2,800 feet above sea level gives the layout more elevation and mountain texture than a typical Las Vegas resort course.
Did You Know? Paiute’s three courses are all associated with Pete Dye, giving the resort an unusual concentration of one architect’s work. Sun Mountain is the middle chapter of that three-course desert design story.
