Overview: Perched along the scenic shores of the Larvik Fjord, Larvik Golfklubb is a premier coastal course designed by Jan Sederholm. The layout blends parkland and seaside links characteristics, featuring gently rolling fairways framed by mature forests, strategically placed water hazards, and large, fast putting greens. Highly exposed to the ocean breezes, the course offers panoramic views of the water from several holes, demanding complete strategic discipline and precise ball-flight control.
History: Founded in 1990 and opened for play in 1993, Larvik Golfklubb was built on a sandy, coastal parcel that ensures exceptional natural drainage. The course quickly established a reputation for its excellent year-round conditioning and hosted several prominent national championships, serving as a key center for competitive golf in southern Norway.
Did You Know? Because of its sandy foundation and mild coastal microclimate near the Oslo Fjord, Larvik is often one of the very first 18-hole courses in Norway to open its summer greens each spring, attracting golfers from across the country.
