Overview: Located on the island of Funen, Denmark, Langesø Golf Club is a demanding 18-hole woodland and parkland course designed by Line Mortensen. The layout is carved through a dense, mature forest of beech and oak trees, featuring narrow, heavily restricted fairways and small, well-defended green complexes. The course places an absolute premium on driving accuracy, heavily punishing errant tee shots that find the thick forest undergrowth.
History: Opened in 2008, the course was built within the historic Langesø estate, which has been owned by the same noble family for generations. Mortensen carefully routed the holes to weave through the ancient forest canopy, ensuring that no two fairways run parallel and creating an intimate, secluded playing experience.
Did You Know? The course is built on the grounds of the magnificent 18th-century Langesø Castle. The estate is also highly recognized in Denmark for its massive Christmas tree plantations, which border several of the golf holes and provide a unique seasonal backdrop.
