Overview: Langebaan Country Estate Golf is a West Coast course where Gary Player Designs’ Black Knight routing meets a dry coastal landscape. The championship tees reach about 6,359 metres, with natural rock formations, a large water feature, wildflowers and birdlife breaking up the fairways. The course offers more than a seaside view: wind, firm ground and the choice between carrying hazards or using the safer side shape the round.
History: The course sits within a residential and leisure estate close to Langebaan Lagoon, one of the Western Cape’s most popular water-sports destinations. Its identity has been built around a visitor-friendly 18-hole course, a golf academy and the wider West Coast itinerary. The Black Knight branding links the design to Gary Player’s South African golf legacy.
Did You Know? Langebaan has a literal 19th hole on the course: a floodlit island green in front of the clubhouse. It is separate from the main 18 and is used as a short challenge and fundraising feature, turning the usual clubhouse expression into a real extra shot.
