Lakewood Country Club

Overview: Lakewood Country Club is a public 18-hole executive course in Naples. The current operator describes a par-60 layout on 52 acres, with Bermuda fairways, Tifdwarf greens, elevated putting surfaces and water features. The detailed current scorecard record measures 3,161 yards from the back tees, making this a compact course with more than a simple pitch-and-putt character.

History: Published records place the facility's start in 1973 or 1978. The current GolfNow record uses 1978, while the operator's present course page concentrates on the current par-60 layout rather than a dated construction history. That conflict is retained here instead of presenting an uncertain opening year as settled fact.

Did You Know? The operator's course description says water comes into play on 14 of the 18 holes and lists 28 bunkers across the layout. Those features give the short course a more strategic identity than its par-60 score might suggest.
