Overview: Lake Winnipesaukee Golf Club uses the mountainous Lakes Region setting as a central part of its design. Clive Clark’s routing moves through forest and open ground with views toward the surrounding peaks and Lake Winnipesaukee, while the natural rock and elevation changes shape the character of the holes.
History: The club’s official history says Bernard Chiu engaged Clive Clark to create the course and that it opened in 2004. The same account records early recognition from Golf Digest and the course’s role in bringing major New England golf events to New Hampshire.
Did You Know? Lake Winnipesaukee hosted the New England Open from 2005 through 2008, and the club’s history identifies it as the first New Hampshire venue for that championship.
