Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club (North)

Overview: The North Course at Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club is an 18-hole Kurt Sandness design in Dade City. The gold-tee scorecard plays to par 72 and 7,226 yards, with five published tee sets reaching down to 5,184 yards. Unlike most Florida layouts, the course uses substantial natural elevation changes, long views and rolling ground as central parts of its character.

History: The North Course is the newer of Lake Jovita's two 18-hole layouts and is recorded as opening in 2002. Kurt Sandness designed the course to complement the older South Course while using the site's hilly terrain and broad views. The facility operates as a 36-hole golf club, with the North Course retaining its own scorecard and identity.

Did You Know? From the second tee, course records say players can see five or six miles to the northeast. That long view is a direct result of Lake Jovita's unusual elevation changes, which make the North Course feel unlike a typical flat Florida course.
