Overview: Laguna Golf Lăng Cô is a Sir Nick Faldo course in the coastal resort landscape between Hue and Da Nang. The 18-hole layout is par 71 and measures 6,961 yards from the professional tees, with shorter sets down to about 5,178 yards. Faldo’s design moves across six distinct environments identified in the course’s opening material: rice paddy, woodland, water, beach, sand and blowout areas. That variety gives the round a changing rhythm, with each hole asking the player to read a new combination of ground, wind, vegetation and approach space.
History: Laguna Lăng Cô officially opened in March 2013 as Faldo Design’s twenty-sixth course. The project was built within the Laguna Lăng Cô integrated resort and was designed to preserve the character of the site rather than replace it with one uniform landscape. The course has since hosted domestic and international tournaments and remains the resort’s central golf facility. The current course record is therefore a Faldo design from 2013, not the unrelated 1966 Peter Matkovich profile previously attached to this directory row.
Did You Know? Laguna Lăng Cô’s six playing environments are unusually easy to name because they change so clearly during the round: rice paddy, woodland, water, beach, sand and blowout areas. That sequence is more than a scenic list. It changes the available lines, the amount of bounce and the visual information around each shot, giving the course a varied identity without needing dramatic elevation throughout.
