Overview: The East/South routing at the current La Valle Coastal Club combines two of the Rancho Santa Fe property’s three nines. The 18-hole card is par 71 and about 6,671 yards, moving through coastal foothill ground where mature planting, gentle elevation and the area’s open California light define the setting.
History: The original 18 holes were designed by Henry and David Rainville, Inc. and opened in 1965. La Valle added its East Course in 1973, rebranded as Morgan Run in 1993, and later received a Jay Morrish redesign of the North and South courses in 1996. The current club name is La Valle Coastal Club.
Did You Know? This directory label uses the former Morgan Run naming and the East/South routing. The current club describes a 27-hole facility, while the East/South combination has its own par and yardage. Treating those route names separately prevents the East nine from being silently confused with the redesigned North/South pair.
