Overview: La Paloma's Ridge/Canyon routing is an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature design in the foothills of the Santa Catalina Mountains. The combination measures 7,017 yards and plays to par 72 from the black tees. Its character comes from desert mountain views, changes in elevation, and a sequence of holes that uses the Tucson terrain rather than flattening it into a conventional parkland pattern.
History: The Ridge and Canyon nines date from the club's first development period in the mid-1980s, with the Ridge/Canyon combination identified as the 1984 layout. The Hill nine followed in early 1985, giving the club a 27-hole Nicklaus facility and several possible 18-hole routings.
Did You Know? The scorecard identifies reclaimed water as the irrigation source. That detail is especially relevant in the Sonoran Desert, where the course's green playing corridors are maintained against an otherwise arid mountain backdrop.
