Overview: Winding through a stunning, rugged landscape of pine forests, rocky ridges, and deep ravines in Hyvinkää, Kytäjä Golf's North West course is one of Finland's premier championship venues. Designed by renowned Canadian architect Thomas McBroom, the course features wide, rolling fairways, dramatic elevation changes, and large, fast putting greens. The layout utilizes the native granite rock outcroppings and dense forest to frame every hole, creating an intimate, scenic, and challenging wilderness golf experience.
History: Opened in 2004, just one year after its sister South East course, the North West course completed Kytäjä's transformation into a world-class 36-hole resort. McBroom used the more rugged and undulating northern parcel of the estate to craft a course that contrasts beautifully with the lakeside-dominated South East course, creating a premier destination for European tournament golf.
Did You Know? The course features a highly memorable collection of par 3s that play over deep ravines and rocky chasms, requiring players to carry their tee shots over raw Finnish wilderness to reach the well-guarded greens.
