Overview: Situated in the stunning natural area of De Brakel on the banks of its namesake river, Kromme Rijn Golf Club is a rhythmic and modern parkland course that prizes environmental harmony. Originally a Gerard Jol design and recently refined by Michiel van der Vaart, the course winds through lush meadows and past vibrant water features that reflect the region's river-basin heritage. Its layout is characterized by its open vistas and sophisticated green complexes, offering a par-70 challenge that rewards bold, creative shot-making and a deep appreciation for the quiet beauty of the Utrecht countryside.
Did You Know? The course is named after the Kromme Rijn (Crooked Rhine), a river that has dictated the landscape and history of the region since Roman times. During the recent 2023 renovation, several ancient Roman artifacts were discovered on the property, and the new design was carefully adjusted to protect these archaeological sites, ensuring that the course remains a living link to the history of the river valley.
